For more than half a century, the Hirai Group has developed the petroleum

petrochemical businesses, nurturing and growing with our business partners.
We
shall build on this foundation, for our expansion in the 21st century.
We, the Hirai Group will be committed to a deeper involvement in environment-
related products. We started by importing activated carbon products from
China
to supply our customers in Japan. Demand is growing, as new environmental
applications emerge. We shall make every effort to diversify our supply
sources in
Asia. At the same time, we will strengthen our ties with our customers
- Japan's
top activated carbon firms.
